Paula Reed founded BizEducation Consulting, Inc. in 2017 after having more than 20 years of experience in K12 sales and marketing.  By starting BizEducation Consulting, Inc., she has been able to bring her two passions--building relationships and K-12 education--together to create a synergy that benefits students, educators and their communities. Since the start of BizEducation Consulting, Inc., Paula has worked with Fortune 500, mid-sized, non-profit, investors and start-up companies to be their right-hand guru for:

  • Developing sales plans & strategies
  • Editing marketing platforms and collateral for effective outreach
  • Performing digital content and marketing audits for equity initiatives
  • Writing and delivering executive leadership, sales techniques’ training and 1:1 coaching professional development
  • Recruiting highly qualified sales reps
  • Executing webinars and events
  • Obtaining top education administrators for thought leadership opportunities

The K12 marketplace is unique in many respects and only someone like Paula,  with over 200 C-level and administrator relationships throughout the country, can bring a perspective unlike any other.

Much of Paula’s experience in K12 was obtained as a National Director of Strategic Partnerships for Discovery Education. Her main focus was creating educational partnerships with large urban and suburban districts as well as assisting regional teams to cultivate effective sales opportunities. At Discovery Education, she and her team were successful in closing major multi-million dollar contracts, as well as impacting thousands of students and teachers across the country with digital content and professional development. As liaison for education organizations such as AASA, CAAASA, NABSE, Digital Promise, PSSAM, ERDI and CGCS, Paula created robust programming for successful thought leadership symposiums and events. In addition, she forged on-going relationships with organization executive leadership that accelerated the company’s growth in the education industry.

In her earlier professional years, Paula worked with Education Services of America, Ombudsman Program, and as Vice President of Business Development she consulted with public school districts, designing effective alternative-education programs for at-risk and dropout students. Partnering with district administrators to increase graduation rates gave her the ability to acutely understand education budgets, unions, school boards, policies and local and national politics, as well as witness students who struggled in the traditional classroom setting walk across the stage with diploma in hand--a truly incredible experience.

In addition, Paula worked with University of Maryland University College in Undergraduate Admissions, Development and Marketing. Before leaving, she established an Outreach Marketing department that focused on reaching prospective college students desiring to obtain one of the first fully-online BA, BS, MA, MS and PhD degrees in the country.

She has volunteered as a Foundation Director with Montgomery County and Baltimore County Public Schools in Maryland, The Pajama Reading Center & Technology Association in Georgia (TAG).

Paula was raised in the Washington, DC/Maryland area and is a graduate of University of Maryland, College Park.  Currently, she resides in Atlanta, GA with her husband, Tony. She enjoys reading, traveling and her blended family of six adult children, six of the most wonderful grand babies in the world and her office partners, Bailey and Stella.
